BC PST on business assets: most tangible business assets purchased with a business are subject to BC PST, and a seller should obtain a PST clearance certificate before closing. See gov.bc.ca Bulletin PST 005 for the current rules.

BDC: the Business Development Bank of Canada offers acquisition financing directly and sometimes alongside a bank/CSBFP loan — worth comparing terms.
